We provide language and cultural immersion programs in dozens of countries around the world. All our programs are custom-made according to our clients’ specifications, and can include lodging and tours. We also provide translation services. OCONUS IMMERSION PROGRAM
OCONUS are in-country immersion program where students typically have 10 - 35 hours (the norm is 20-25) per week of language and culture study in a classroom or with a private instructor at their home, or a local setting. Students also participate in out-of-class activities and excursions after or before the lessons, or have full-day ones once or twice a week in lieu of the language lessons that day or days. Longer weekend out of town or across country/region excursions can be arranged as well.
TEACHER/HOMESTAY IMMERSION PROGRAM
This is for those who prefer a more intensive language and cultural immersion program and would like private tuition and the experience of living with a native host family in the country they are visiting. Students typically have 15 - 30 hours per week of private language and culture study either at the homestay or the teacher’s home. Practical interactive “walking” lessons are held periodically to local settings or sites to allow the student to practice the language and learn the culture in a local setting. Each home stay family welcomes the student as a part of their family. Home-cooked meals can be included.
CULTURAL INTENSIVE PROGRAM
With our cultural intensive program, students spend less time in the classroom setting, usually 10 – 20 hours of private instruction per week. Other language instruction will take place during cultural excursions and in interactive, real life situations such as at the market, visits to cultural sites, and more.
With this program more time will be spent exploring the culture, traditions, history, political climate, economics, and the beliefs and values of the language and country. Some days will be with the teacher, while others will be with established tour groups and even private, individual local and experienced guides, taking you to where you would like to go. These excursions are usually in English but can also usually be held in the target studied language.
TRANSLATION SERVICES
We offer translation services from English into a variety of languages, and specialize in Mandarin, Arabic, Vietnamese and Korean written translation services. For those requiring oral or in-person translation services please contact us for availability in your region or location of travel. Our standard is that you are completely satisfied with our services, and rates are reasonable and turn-around time is swift.
